RoboCop, A Dystopian Classic With Gothic Tendencies

RoboCop was the first action cyberpunk sci-fi live-action movie I watched. It was a movie that created a bond between my grandpa and me. I loved RoboCop, and to this day, that movie is part of my Top 3 Faves.

Official Original RoboCop Summary

“Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!”

In a violent, near-apocalyptic Detroit, evil corporation Omni Consumer Products wins a contract from the city government to privatise the police force.

To test their crime-eradicating cyborgs, the company leads street cop Alex Murphy into an armed confrontation with crime lord Boddicker so they can use his body to support their untested RoboCop prototype.

Come And Read About An Up-Coming Release From Gothic Band, Susurration!

I love the sound of the dark and disturbing. Gothic, pulsating beats that ignite my inner vampire. So, it was a really thrilling delight to be given the chance to review the EBM project, Susurration.

Behind The Name Susurration

The project Susurration, which I must add, has an interesting meaning behind the name of the musical project—Susurration means to whisper. It stands for aggressive, driving EBM beats and melancholic darkwave songs. They always integrate influences from classical music and theatre music.

The last album, ‘Make Love Like War,’ which came out in September 2022, was presented by Orkus and Sonic Seducer and received many discussions on many international scene blogs.

The Last Kingdom — BBC-Netflix

The Last Kingdom Is A Gothic, Historical Story

Sometimes history hides heroes deep in the art and leaves a battlefield without a name. The Last Kingdom is about one of those men.

Where It Came From

The Last Kingdom is a gothic, historical story. But where to begin? History is an infinite source of ideas for authors.

It is becoming a series that has people glued to their small screens. Netflix didn’t waste time and jumped on Bernard Cornwell‘s work of The Saxon Stories and called it The Last Kingdom.

Hoia Baciu Forest Gives The Heebie-Jeebies In The Devil’s Complex

Blood Creek — 2009

Would Cancel Culture Cancel 2009 Blood Creek?

With all the movements of awareness in today’s United States in the film industry, it’s hard to be edgy. The horror genre is often either overlooked or over-judged by people that aren’t horror fans, to begin with. So, my review of the movie Blood Creek, fourteen years later…

The Official Summary

In 1936, the Wollners, a German family living in Town Creek, West Virginia, are contacted by the Third Reich to host a visiting scholar. In need of money, they accept Professor Ricard Wirth into their home, unaware of the Third Reich’s practices in the occult or Wirth’s real mission, which will keep the family bound for decades to come.

Now, more than 70 years later, Evan Marshall’s older brother Victor mysteriously disappears near Town Creek for two years and suddenly returns very much alive, having escaped his captors.

Knightfall

Knightfall Is The Underrated Medieval Series Deserving Of More Seasons

When I finished watching The Last Kingdom, I was looking desperately for something to satisfy my Dark Ages addiction. Knightfall showed up, and quickly I found myself hooked on the last years of the infamous Templars.

The Official Summary

In 1306, the Knights Templar were winding down their run as one of the most powerful organisations in the Christian world. Acre, the Templar’s last stronghold, has fallen, and years later, a rumour is heard that the lost Grail is still in that area.

The Templars, led by the courageous, headstrong, but noble Templar Knight Landry, have shifted their attention to regaining a foothold in the Holy Land. They take their battle back to the Holy Land, and their battles become the Crusades.

Hellraiser: Hellworld — 2005

Hellraiser A Hell Of A World

Before watching the new Hellraiser series that looks absolutely fantastic, I wanted to watch the ten movies from the iconic franchise. One strangely stood out, to my surprise. It’s one everyone totally forgot about or doesn’t even know exists!

Before We Start, There Are Sights I Want You To See! Well, No, But Read It!

This is an in-depth review of the forgotten movie Hellraiser Hellworld from 2005. I rewatched the entire movie franchise and came out with subjects related to the plot of the Hellworld movie or eighth instalment. If you plan on watching the movie, do not keep reading this article, as it might ruin it for you.

This is all personal, and I respect everyone’s view of the movie and the Hellraiser franchise. Also, this is a subjective article and an opinion of the movie.

“Your Nightmare” by Vampyrëan featuring Chris Pohl Review

I enjoy checking out new music blind to me. Vampyrëan was one I had not heard before.

A Solo Project

Vampyrëan is the solo project from Vlad Janicek, a former member of Nosferatu. That right away got my attention.

I am familiar with Nosferatu and really enjoy their gothic rock-infused music. I then saw that Chris Pohl from Blutengel is featured on the track. That made me even more excited to listen.
