Who is Jane Jordan

Jane was born in England and grew up exploring the history and culture of London and the surrounding counties. After some time spent in Germany in the 1990s, she immigrated to Detroit, USA, eventually settling in South West Florida.

She returned to England after a fifteen-year absence, to spend six years in the South West of England living on Exmoor. Here, inspired by the atmosphere, beautiful scenery and the ancient history of the place, she wrote her first novel, Ravens Deep. The next two books, Blood & Ashes and A Memoir of Carl, completed her gothic vampire trilogy.

All Dark Places: A DSP Anthology — Compiled by J.E. Feldman

In a world where so many dark things go bump in the night, terror awaits around every corner as these authors take horror stories to the next level. — Google

A Book Review

If you want a good book to make the hair on your arms stand up, pay attention. I love a good horror read. I need something that is going to make me want to sleep with the lights on at night, with a baseball bat, just in case. This book did not disappoint!

There are five stories, five short reads that are going to give you the chills! I can’t give you the entire plot, but I will do my best to give this book, and the stories, some justice.

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

There has been documentation of people being kept in cages when they were “unable to be controlled” by caretakers, and even the wallpaper was peeling from the walls. Patients attempted to kill each other, and were sometimes successful due to the overworked staff. Continue reading Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

The Real Witchcraft

Not long ago, Gothic Bite Magazine asked for people to share their paranormal stories with us. Some of you answered the call and now, here are some of your stories…

I Knew Better

It was the summer of 96 or better referred to as “The Summer of Hell.” I can’t help but to blame myself; after all, I’ve watched plenty of horror movies to know all the basic rules, but even then I ignored the most important one.

I was young and curious. So attracted to anything horror. I played with a spirit board by myself, and if that wasn’t enough, I had chanted spells that I found in a spell book written in another language.

The Gothic Grimoire Anthology

Gothic Bite Magazine is proud to present our third anthology to our amazing followers and wonderful readers!

The Gothic Grimoire Anthology is all about the darkest the paranormal can offer from immortals to hauntings, and a grimoire ties all.

The Making of a Grimoire

When seeing many anthologies, four authors thought maybe we could come up with something different, and we all decided to lend on a grimoire mixed with as much darkness as we could and a little dash of what makes each of us so unique in our writing. Some of us have stories tied to our on-going series while others started their set, and this is the introduction to their universe.

Chapter One

I enjoy doing this too much to stop, they never realize how easy it is for me and for others like me to get them when they least expect it. Now I am standing outside of his house, such a pretty family he has, men think that women would rather poison them than take a knife to their bodies.

That is not the case with me, I enjoy it entirely too much to ever stop, this man, he looks so nice, so perfect. But I have seen his lies, I have witnessed what he puts his wife and kids through, you might call me a monster, but I have nothing on this man. He is the true monster, and its my joy to bring some of that pain and terror to his door step, let him live in the terror that only I can create for him.

GOOSEBUMPS — Stay Out of the Basement review by Kendra

Dr. Brewer is doing a little plant-testing in his basement. Nothing to worry about. Harmless, really. But Margaret and Casey Brewer are worried about their father. Especially when they…meet…some of the plants he is growing down there.

Then they notice that their father is developing plantlike tendencies. In fact, he is becoming distinctly weedy–and seedy. Is it just part of their father’s “harmless” experiment? Or has the basement turned into another little shop of horrors?
