R.L. Stine — Fear Street

The Cataluna Chronicles: The Evil Moon Review

No one thought it would return because the only way to defeat it forever lay hidden in Sarah Fear’s grave.

“Turn The Key And Die…”

While I truly love the Goosebumps Series, I also have a love for the YA series that R.L. Stine did titled Fear Street. There are many terrifying tales of woe that stemmed from Fear Street, I wanted to review the series that drew me in and made me want more.

Ladies and Gents I introduce The Cataluna Chronicles. A tale that flows between time and leaves a trail of bodies in its wake. We will start with the first book in the series, The Evil Moon.

GOOSEBUMPS! Say Cheese And Die! Review by Kendra Hale

This novel is one of my top five books that I adored from the original series. It was also one that I looked forward to as I came back to read these stories as an adult.

One of the main reasons why that is is the belief that cameras have the power to steal away parts of our souls or essences completely enthralls me.

Now, the GOOSEBUMPS #5 by R.L. Stine, Say Cheese And Die! Review by Kendra Hale!

Goosebumps - Stay out of the Basement by R.L. Stine

GOOSEBUMPS — Stay Out of the Basement review by Kendra

Dr. Brewer is doing a little plant-testing in his basement. Nothing to worry about. Harmless, really. But Margaret and Casey Brewer are worried about their father. Especially when they…meet…some of the plants he is growing down there.

Then they notice that their father is developing plantlike tendencies. In fact, he is becoming distinctly weedy–and seedy. Is it just part of their father’s “harmless” experiment? Or has the basement turned into another little shop of horrors?

R.L. Stine - A Midsummer Night's Scream

A Midsummer Night’s Scream – Review

When you hear the name R.L. Stine one of the main reactions is instant recognition and of course an association to the man depending on when you joined in on his writing whether you have been there along the way from Welcome to Dead House, or you joined in his teen books with the Fear Street series.
Maybe you even were a late bloomer and didn’t start until he branched into more adult books with his book Red Rain.

For others you may not have heard or read any of his work and honestly this would not be the article for you.

R.L. Stine like many authors in the 90’s wrote horror in a way that captivated and gave the readers a taste of horror. Continue reading
