The Moosham Castle The Cruelest Trial In Witch Hunt History

When we think about the European witch hunt, we think about the mediaeval period, but what if I told you one castle hosted children as its primary victims?

The Moosham Castle Purpose

The Austria spur castle can sit over a Roman fortress’ foundation. A spur castle is a term used to indicate a mediaeval fortress resting on the spur of a hill or mountain as a defence mechanism.

Another example is the Poenari Castle in Romania, which belonged to Vlad the Impaler. Usually, the only weakness of such a castle resides where the hill links to the spur from which it projects. It also means that the spur castle would have three sides by steep hillsides for the best protection.

The Unknown Killer That Inspired Ghostface

Most of the iconic slasher killers of the horror movie genre are based on people that existed or still do. Often, the reality is more morbid than a slasher flick. Here’s one of their stories!

The Beginning Of An Iconic Face

Everyone knows the famous 90s Scream movie franchise, its iconic serial killer, and its name, Ghostface. People could know him from his original franchise with “Do you like scary movies?” or the horror movie parody franchise, Scary Movie.

People might not realize, and I didn’t know until recently, that the original Ghostface killer in the Scream franchise was inspired by a real-life serial killer named Danny Rolling.

Music Haunted By A Ghost From Sweden

My band, I’m listening to for inspiration, and finding my sleep is Ghost. Who are they? Hmmm, that is a good question I’m happy to answer.

Ghostly Yours

The Scandinavian musical band Ghost originates from Sweden in the town of Linköping. In the United States, some knew them as Ghost B.C. Some say they are rock, but when you listen to their music to me, they fall under Gothic Rock.

That, to me, is due to the orchestration that is quite prominent in their unique sound. Music haunted by a Ghost from Sweden and I’m all over it!

It is an old oral tradition told in most Latin American countries, specifically Mexican. The story varies in different countries; for example, La Llorona is also known as the woman in white in America.

Is the Sandman a Ghost?

They say the Sandman is not a ghost—that he is an entity that comes to visit you at night to put you to sleep, and bring you good dreams. There have been many myths and legends written about him.

Sandman The Entity

They say the Sandman is not a ghost—that he is an entity that comes to visit you at night to put you to sleep, and bring you good dreams. There have been many myths and legends written about him.

In fact, there are also stories about how the Sandman collected the eyes of children who would not sleep. There is such a vast amount of information on him that it is hard to tell what is the actual tale and what is twisted.

Moosham Castle – A Horror Story

Travel the country sides of Europe and you are bound to see a castle. To date there are over ten thousand known castles in Europe and Asia.

Many of the oldest castles in the world are in Germany. With age comes history and not necessarily a pleasant history at that.

Europe’s Middle Ages were plagued with turmoil. The Crusades, witch-hunts (and werewolf hunts) vampire hysteria and war torn through the old world. Leaving in its wake tears in the fabric between this world and the next.
