Great New England Vampire Panic
Along with all my other quirks and unique aspirations I am working towards a doctorate in American History. The real history of America is not something read in textbooks and vampires are a part of it.
Supernatural Superstitions
Often it’s hidden from sight. The victors write history; the ugliness washed away. I found this tidbit of history and I thought my vampire fans out there might enjoy.
In the early years of American history, New England was full of superstitions about the supernatural. The church spread fears of evil which lead to the witch trials so famously diluted in our history books. Vampires were rumored to roam New England’ rural communities by night with reports documented as early as 1793.

Us The Indie Community
In this social media era and indie author world, it is hard for writers to make their brand stay and it’s even harder to get noticed. However, there’s a place on Facebook where one can!
Likes, Join & Follows
Have you noticed how hard it is nowadays to get a “Like” on Facebook or get someone to “Join” your FB group or even “Follow” your page? It is quite hard as an indie author, artist, musician and any independent profession.
That’s because of the algorithm factor. Facebook has now paid advertisement, and that is hurting many of us independent and freelance people. Not only does Facebook hide promotional posts from “Professional Pages” they also hide the indie community when they pay for advertisement favorizing those who pay more.

Vampires are part of our folklore for hundreds of years. The belief that a being subsisting on blood timelessly fascinated us. But where did it come from?Let’s find the odd origin of vampires in history.
The Odd Origin
The odd origin of vampires in history, let’s dig in. In the early seventeenth hundreds, the process of decomposition remained something people did not know about.
The black plague or bubonic plague was now part of their past, but most corpses went through incineration, thus spreading diseases through the air, but that’s another topic. Those considered to be regular people had a coffin for their burial.

Aurore The Child Martyr From Québec
Every town has its tales and its secrets. The most horrific tales are often well-guarded and found in the most obscure places. However, Fortierville wants the world to know that a tomb of a martyred child deserves your love.
Aurore The Child Martyr
When one grows up in the province of Québec, it doesn’t matter which town or metropolis you’re from; you hear the name Aurore, and you know everything. Quebecers don’t need more than ‘Aurore’ to know whom one is referring to.
The story of Aurore transcends time and defies any other legend or folktale. One may ask how and why; the answer is simple: the story has next to no exaggeration. That one story of a real little girl, a child, has been told from generation to generation throughout an entire province and yet, it’s always the same story.

Lycanthropy Is Much More Than Howling At The Moon
We know the word werewolf, but the technical term is lycanthrope, and the accurate clinical term is lycanthropy. But what does that mean?
What Is Lycanthropy, And Where Did It Come From
The delusion that someone must metamorphose into an animal or be one is a psychiatric syndrome. The scientific community calls it Clinical Lycanthropy.
The term itself leads to the affliction of physically morphing into a wolf. Of course, it is impossible and linked to the paranormal phenomenon that is a werewolf. However, it is, to this day, still a disorder despite its rarity.

Is Cain The First Evil Of Earth Or A Self-Made Demon?
Some of us know the story of Cain and Abel, while others know the character better from the Netflix series Lucifer. What is fascinating about Cain’s character is his ambiguity regarding evil and demons.
The Origin Of Cain
From the Book of Genesis, Cain came as a biblical figure from ancient religions and made its place within King James’ Bible. Cain is Adam and Eve’s firstborn and so Abel’s older brother. We know Adam and Eve to be the first two humans created.
Cain was a farmer, and all his crops were offerings to the Lord. However, despite his dedication, the Lord wasn’t happy. To make matters worse, the Lord displayed his favouritism toward Abel. This display of affection angered Cain and made him quite jealous of his younger brother.

The Moosham Castle The Cruelest Trial In Witch Hunt History
When we think about the European witch hunt, we think about the mediaeval period, but what if I told you one castle hosted children as its primary victims?
The Moosham Castle Purpose
The Austria spur castle can sit over a Roman fortress’ foundation. A spur castle is a term used to indicate a mediaeval fortress resting on the spur of a hill or mountain as a defence mechanism.
Another example is the Poenari Castle in Romania, which belonged to Vlad the Impaler. Usually, the only weakness of such a castle resides where the hill links to the spur from which it projects. It also means that the spur castle would have three sides by steep hillsides for the best protection.
