The movie Queen of the Damned is perhaps one of the best vampire movies ever, and it has a soundtrack to match.
A Queen To Follow
In case you didn’t know, the movie follows Akasha‘s journey, which is a vampire queen. And she was in slumber for millions of years until Lestat’s music woke her up and she wanted him to be her new vampire king.
So she kills her current vampire king and sets off on a journey to find Lestat. Sounds sexy, right? What’s better than vampires?
Unforgettable Songs
For such a sexy story, they needed a seductive soundtrack, and I believe they nailed it. In the movie, Lestat is a hard rock/goth Rockstar who is “pretending” to be a vampire, he has a considerable following.
Now the actor who played Lestat played by Stuart Townsend didn’t sing the songs on the soundtrack.

Those lyrics were voiced by Jonathan Davis of Korn, the late Chester Bennington of Linkin’ Park, and various other artists. They did a fantastic job. The soundtrack is a roller coaster ride with a hard-hitting song after a hard-hitting song.
Rock On!
There are some well-known songs too, such as Down with the Sickness by Disturbed and System by Chester Bennington. At least personally, the best song is Excess by Tricky. Once you hear it, you know why. It was also used in another fantastic movie, Thir13en Ghosts.
I may be a little biased, that is another of my favorite movies and another reason that I love this song.

I heard it on Thir13en Ghosts, then when I finally saw this movie and listened to the songs, it was like a welcome hug from a friend. That’s what music is, it can be a comforting hug, like from a long-lost friend.
An Exceptional Soundtrack
Warm and inviting. That’s what music means to me; I know it is different for everyone. But when you find a song that moves you, then you should stick with it.

I love this movie and the soundtrack is so awesome! I haven’t come across anther film with such an amazing soundtrack in a long time.
