It doesn’t matter how old you are. The Exorcist is one of the most horrifying possession movies of all time if not the number one.
The Summary Of A Possession
The Exorcist shocked people when it released. It still takes people by surprise today. The Exorcist review is now overdue at GBM!
Demonic possession is believed by some to be the process by which malevolent preternatural beings possess individuals, commonly referred to as demons or devils.
Symptoms of demonic possessions often include erased memories or personalities, convulsions (i.e., epileptic seizures or “fits”) and fainting as if one were dying. — Source from Wikipedia

Possession of a Movie
What can I say about The Exorcist that people doesn’t know already?
When I first watched The Exorcist, I was blown away not only by the amount of work put in the movie regarding special effect makeup but the outstanding performance of the actors, mostly Linda Blair and the story itself being incredible.
I can only imagine what it could’ve been for a young actress to play a possessed little girl. The movie was captivating. So impressed, my nose glued to the screen every single minute of the story.
We all know The Exorcist became a franchise and released five movies, from which two released in the two thousand. Despite the money it gained, none of the movies had more impact than its original title.
The Exorcist is a unique movie; it remains as such for as long as the horror genre exist. It is a well-respected title and for good reasons. Its actors, story and originality of the time.
Some Behind The Scenes
While watching Eli Roth AMC History of Horror documentary, I’ve learned that poor Linda Blair, while filming the bedroom scene when she violently moved back and forth on the bed, she was tied to metal braces that weren’t tight enough and ended up fracturing her spine. Her cries and screams are her begging the crew to stop filming.
When the director and casting agency was looking for someone to play Regan, they selected Jamie Lee Curtis who was fourteen years old at the time. When calling her mother, she said that her daughter wouldn’t play that role. Then, for Jamie Lee’s fifteenth birthday, her mother arranged for a screening of The Exorcist that traumatized her for the rest of her high school years.
Best of the Best
The fantastic story of Regan, possessed by an evil demon that slowly takes over her body and mind until her mother has no other choice than to turn to the church for help, had generations of people glued to their television screen.
The Exorcist is according to many masters of horror still to this day the best possession story ever told and one that remains number one for generations to come. In my book, this movie is a 9.5/10 on my spooky goosebumps scale!
