The movie Poltergeist is one of the cult classics of horror that everyone still believes to this day to be one of the best made.

No movie can ever be like it. No one can make a movie like it again. Poltergeist is without a doubt, fantastic.

Definition of Poltergeist

In ghostlore, a poltergeist is a type of ghost or spirit that is responsible for physical disturbances, such as loud noises and objects being moved or destroyed.

They are purportedly capable of pinching, biting, hitting, and tripping people. Most accounts of poltergeists describe the movement or levitation of objects such as furniture and cutlery, or noises such as knocking on doors.

They have traditionally been described as troublesome spirits who haunt a particular person instead of a specific location. A Classic of Classics

I remember when watching the movie, I was about seventeen years old. Growing up with my grandparents, I never paid attention to movies having to be actual I preferred them older.

Poltergeist, a movie that came out in 1982, tells the story of a typical American family with a gorgeous blonde little girl. At first, all seems to be strange with objects moving in bizarre ways. Then, it escalates to a point where the family reaches out for help.

The paranormal medium, based on the famous Lorraine Warren, becomes the one helping the family most originally.

The movie Poltergeist is a loved horror movie in the paranormal genre that is often too gory, too visual and with too many prosthetic now with too many CGI. instead, Poltergeist is unseen but felt around the house.

A Sequel

Like all other amazing horror movies, Poltergeist had the following movie. The story didn’t have as much success as its first one as it was impossible to recreate the same impact.

The sequel lacked the build-up its predecessor had. Carol Ann played by Heather O’Rourke barely present due to her sickness passed away during the filming.

A Winner

 

The movie Poltergeist is one that sticks with you once you saw the story before your eyes. The ghosts are becoming more and more dangerous as the movie progresses. There was no need for anyone to see the other side to know it was horrifying.

All I have to say is if you haven’t watched Poltergeist yet, do it. You won’t regret it. I give it a 9/10 on my spooky goosebumps scale!
