Trick ‘r Treat is a five-story anthology all about Halloween. The stories comprise of a high school principal with a dark secret.
A college virgin looking for the right man; some teenagers that pull a sinister prank; a woman who hates Halloween has to put up with her husband that is obsessed with it; finally the hated old man gets the trick or treater of a lifetime.
Original Summary
Five interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband; and a mean old man meets his match with a demonic, supernatural trick-or-treater.

Halloween Creativity
This movie is very creative and flows seamlessly between the stories. If you have not seen this movie yet, I highly recommend you do. The film will not disappoint, as you follow some of the characters of this town on Halloween.
Sam has quickly become one of my favorite characters in a movie. He is a trick or treater that can be seen in all the stories. I am not sure if that would make him the main character, but he is in my eyes.

One of my favorite stories in the movie has to be the one Anna Paquin stars in, known for her role as Sookie Stackhouse from the HBO series True Blood. She plays the shy college virgin on the prowl for the right man. She has to try and get over her shyness as she goes on a blind date.
No Goosebumps
Now this movie, to me, was not scary. I do not believe it was meant to be either, it is considered a horror comedy, after all. It did not have tons of the usual trashy jump scares or the predictable plot twist.

Even though it is based on an animated short film, this movie is original and entertaining. The acting is top notch with an excellent cast. The film was direct to DVD release but had few showings at movie festivals beforehand.
I think this was a massive mistake to for Warner Bros. since this film has become an instant cult classic.
Horror Anthologies
If you are a fan of anthologies, horror, or just Halloween, this is a movie I highly recommend. I give this movie five stars.

It is one of those movies that has become a tradition to watch during the Halloween season, yet I find myself watching it over and over throughout the year.
If you follow all of the lessons on Halloween that are taught throughout the movie, then you should be safe. Fail to follow the rules, and you could find Sam knocking on your door this Halloween.
This movie scared the shit out of me!! That little f##ker is a nasty little prick!! Awesome movie review!! 😉💖
